IHD project on timber construction monitoring at the annual reception of Holzbau Lepski GmbH and Holzbau Plan+Werk GmbH

The project is supported by the Saxon Ministry for Regional Development (SMR) as part of the simul+ InnovationHub.

One sub-task is the design and construction of a test container, which can be used to demonstrate monitoring options in timber construction to interested parties. The test setup was presented for the first time at the annual reception. During the event, tradespeople and planners as well as local authority representatives and representatives of building administrations learnt about the possibilities of timber construction monitoring. In addition to the interest groups already mentioned, representatives from various supplier sectors were also present. The numerous discussions and positive feedback emphasised the topicality of the project presented.

There will be another opportunity to view the sample container on 17 and 18 April 2024 as part of the 2nd Saxon Timber Construction Day. You are also welcome to arrange a personal appointment with our colleagues and see the project results for yourself directly at the IHD.

It should also be mentioned that the partners involved in the project, N+P Informationssysteme GmbH and the FLEX research group at HTWK Leipzig, played a major role in the success of the project.
