In order to counter safety concerns about timber structures and thus increase their acceptance, the structural integrity of potentially endangered construction areas must be permanently monitored using in-situ measurement methods and sensors that are as invisible as possible and can be permanently installed.

Formaldehyde-free, aqueous NIPU impregnating resins for decor papers
Both furniture fronts and floors are often produced in a layered structure, using decorative papers impregnated with impregnating resins. Resins based on melamine and formaldehyde are usually used here.
Adhesive-free joining of plywood materials with high frequency
As a natural material, wood can meet the growing demands for sustainable and recyclable materials. However, in the production of technical wood-based materials, between 1 and 20 % adhesive is added to the wood in relation to the wood mass used.
