Wood-based Materials Industry Meets in Dresden
3. September 2019
The Institut für Holztechnologie Dresden (IHD) is organising the 13th Wood-based Materials Colloquium in Dresden on 12 and 13 December 2019.
This year's programme, which is well-filled with 16 lectures and six short contributions from young scientists, is entitled "Networking".
In the age of industry 4.0, the networking of people and technologies plays an outstanding role for the engineered wood industry, which has long been globally positioned and therefore has to react to global developments on site. Economic success and market preservation are only possible through technologists connecting with the suppliers, customers and regulatory authorities and standardization committees. The cross-linking of new raw materials and binders in the material itself ensures compliance with current health requirements and acceptance by planners and consumers.
The 13th Wood-Based Panel Colloquium will address these challenges for wood-based materials production and encourage discussion of new ideas and developments in the areas of materials and products, technologies, environment and health under the motto "Networking".
Two days of lectures at the IHD conference centre and the traditional evening event will provide ample opportunity for an intensive exchange of knowledge and experience as well as space for discussions and maintaining contacts with partners and colleagues from the German and European industry.
